It's OK Thursday 3/29

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

...that although I am sad to be leaving hubby for 4 nights, I am super excited about my upcoming trip this weekend. I am headed to Boise for a job interview (and to see my grandparents/aunt/uncle/cousins!).

...that I am so excited for our next adventure and to start our lives in Boise!

...to wish that I was sun bathing instead of listening to the rain beating down right now.

...to be incredibly worried for our friend who was in a terrible ATV accident on Saturday night. He wasn't wearing a helmet (bad) and crashed. So many injuries I am not sure where to begin- the handle bars did go through his abdomen and caused a laceration in his liver which has resulted in 4 surgeries thus far. He was life flighted to the ICU at the local hospital here and put in a medically induced coma. Other injuries include: some bleeding on the brain which resulted in a screw to relieve some pressure, bruised kidney, deflated lung, broken ribs, and a COMPLETELY shattered elbow which they did reconstructive surgery on to fix. Needless to say, please keep our dear friend in your prayers.

...to be having no luck thinking of a puppy name. Hubby wants one that has to do with something in the kitchen (that's the chef in him...). Any ideas?

...to be wondering what you have all been up to lately?!?!

It's OK Thursday 3/15

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

...that I am over-the-moon excited to learn how to sew! I am signing up for a once a week class in April and can't wait to learn!

...to be exhausted after working extra hours this week. Who can't wait for the weekend? Oh right, me.

...to be spending a lot of time shopping for the perfect grad present for hubby. I already know what I want to get him, I just have to read reviews and find the best brand.

...to actually be enjoying the rain today even though most people are complaining about it. We do live in Oregon. Breaking news: it rains here!

...that I am anxiously awaiting my afternoon cup (or two) of coffee that I am about to have.

...to have been slacking on my blog lately. I'm not really sure what I've been doing instead. Scrapbooking, I guess. And also hanging out with hubby when he isn't in his night class/ working his new job. I'm so proud of him!

And now, back to enjoying the sound of the rain while the babies sleep.

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

...that I planned all week to enjoy this beautiful, sunny day at the zoo with the girls I nanny for...and I couldn't be happier that we did!

...that all my free time is wrapped up working on my current project: our wedding scrapbook. See a picture of one of the layouts here.

...to feel bad for my sister who fell off a horse during her lesson this week and got a concussion. Ouch! And apparently studies have shown that thinking too much while healing from a concussion can cause permanent damage. Therefore, it may be two weeks before she can attend school full days again and she isn't allowed to take any tests. Odd!

...to be so proud of my husband who finishes his internship for culinary school tomorrow!!!!

...to be happy that we haven't had to cook much this week because we have either had salads (easy) or the chili I made in the crock pot (so simple).

...to really, really want the Breaking Dawn part 1 soundtrack.

...that I am annoyed with this season of the Bachelor. Ben has really been bugging me and the fact that he likes someone like Courtney? Don't even get me started...

Tomorrow is Friday! Yay!

It's OK Thursday 3/1

Its Ok Thursdays

 It's OK...

...that I am addicted to Scramble with Friends. Really, I am.

...to be excited to see all of the creations linked up at From Scratch Friday tomorrow!

...to be frustrated about the cold I have just come down with. I've stayed healthy all winter for the most part. I don't like this sore throat and sinus pressure one bit.

...that I love all the baking and cooking my hubby and I do together. My sis-in-law and her boyfriend came over for a yummy dinner last night that included the most amazing garlic bread sticks. Whoa yum. It's so nice to hardly buy any bread products anymore (ok, minus some hoagie rolls only because we don't have the right mold). But we make a loaf of bread weekly, pita bread, bread sticks, etc! Seriously awesome.

...to be annoyed with our upstairs neighbors. They do not sleep. They are awake all night and most of the day. Always home, always up. They make so much noise at night, and on Tuesday night they woke me up at 3:30 am and I wasn't able to go back to sleep (they were being too loud!). I called the apartment manager a couple weeks back when they were partying all night with friends on a Sunday night but it hasn't stopped. It needs to, though.

...that I am so excited/proud/happy for my husband who is about to finish up his culinary internship. It ends next week and then he just has a couple of English classes that end like May 4. His graduation is April 7, though, a few weeks before he finishes. I am a proud wifey!

...to always be ready for the weekend.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

It's OK Thursday 2/23

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

...that one of my favorite lunches right now is peanut butter toast. Easy & delicious.

...that I have been slacking on blogging this week. I have an excuse. I blame it all on Dexter.

...that we just finished season one of Dexter. In less than a week. And we are hooked.

...that I went to visit a friend in the hospital yesterday (she is doing a five day study there) and I was overwhelmed by creepy and sad feelings. I don't like hospitals. Props to those who can work in them.

...to be worried about the health of your loved ones.

...to always wonder what dinner is going to be.

...to be annoyed when the sink is full and I force myself to do the dishes only to wake up glad that I already did them. Anyone else?

...to be excited about the green onion project I am doing- yes regrowing the roots! I'll let you know how it turns out...

Happy Thursday!

It's OK Thursday AND From Scratch Friday #3

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

...that I was completely exhausted all day. I haven't woken up so tired/been that sleepy in awhile.

...that ever since this week started I have been counting down the days until the weekend.

...that our Valentine's Day was just. so. awesome that I'm still smiling about it!

...that I have let my coupon inserts pile up and really need to get clippin'.

...that I am getting really into Big Love after almost finishing the first season.

...that I'm sad Whitney Houston died.

...that one of the girls I nanny for dropped a toy in the (poopy) toilet. And I decided I was not in the mood to grab it out. So I left it...and told the grandparents! :)

...that I am excited to get started with From Scratch Friday...join in below!

It's OK Thursday 2/2

Its Ok Thursdays

Well, it's Thursday again (which means it's almost Friday...yay!) and I am excited to be linking up with Amber once again.

It's Ok...

...that I was so excited to be featured on A Bowl of Lemon's Tuesday link up post this week. I literally squealed out loud.

...that I wish we could dine every weekend like we did on Saturday night. Let me explain. My employers gave us a gift certificate to a very fancy, awesome restuarant for Christmas. We decided to use it Saturday and had to make reservations a week ahead. When we arrived at the restaurant, we saw why it was so hard to get it: it only held 23-25 people and served one dinner per evening. Immediately upon walking in, hubby and I gave each other concerned looks thinking we had walked into the back of the restaurant. What was this? And why were we walking in through the kitchen? We wondered. Well, it wasn't the back door. It was so neatly set up. We walked in through the small kitchen, sat down  and enjoyed a romantic six course meal with candlelight. YUM!

...that Sunday when we finally left the house in the afternoon, we realized that Saturday night we had walked in from our nice dinner out and shut the door with the key. in. the. door. ALL. night. long. Very scary but nothing bad happened, thank goodness. I blame hubby...

...that I am bummed hubby has to work at his internship the next two Saturdays/Sundays.

...to always be disappointed when my to-go mug of coffee runs out work in the mornings. And to always want more.

...that I absolutely love being married to a chef and love the delicious, amazing meals he puts in front of me! Not only that, but he teaches me so much, it's great!

...to be thinking I got off the hook with catching this sickness the family I nanny for had the last couple of weeks (104 temps, coughing, sore throats, etc).

...to feel like I know a blogger after reading their blog for 3+ years when I've never actually met them in real life. And, to feel sad when they are going through a heartbreak right now...

...that it's an easy decision for me to choose: dinner out or hubby cook for Valentine's day. I'd rather spend the money on getting exactly what I want thankyouverymuch! Hubby is going to make an amazing meal for us. More on this later!

It's OK Thursday 1/26

Its Ok Thursdays

It's Thursday again and I am, once again, linking up with Amber and Neely

 It's OK....

...that I found this delicious Orange Creamsicle smoothie on Pinterest and convinced hubby to make it with me (minus the sugar....and it's delicious without). I wanted to post the picture but it's not letting me..

...that our lease is up very shortly and we have yet to find time to go in and re-sign our contract. Whoops. Looks like we need to get on that..

...that I love having Tuesdays off because when I go back to work on Wednesdays the week is already over halfway finished!

...that it took us calling Blockbuster every day for about three weeks to try to get our hands on a copy of What's Your Number. We finally watched it last night and it was pretty entertaining!

...that I am REALLY excited and already planning our trip to Disneyland  this spring/summer even though right now we really can't afford it. By then hopefully we can..:)

...that I love having this outlet to write and make new friends in my corner of the bloggy world.

...that I was super excited to host my first linkup (Wordless Wednesday) AND have over 60 people linkup. Very fun!

...that I caught myself talking in my sleep to my hubby while we were at the beach last weekend. This is not the first time it's happened and woken me up, but it is always fun to laugh about it the next morning!

What's OK with you this week??

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays
.

It's OK...

...to makes plans with the hubby to just pick up Subway for dinner tonight since neither of us feel like cooking.

...to send an annoyed email to our local newspaper since I have had to call 4 times (on hold 15 minutes each time...) without getting through to anyone. GRRR

...to have had a blast participating in Wordless Wednesday & finding some pretty great blogs yesterday!

...that I went for the Gingerbread Latte instead of just a Caffe Misto today...

...that I want the rain to stop because of all the floods happening and warnings we are receiving. I know I'm from Oregon and I love the rain, but I don't want our apartment to flood (we are on the bottom floor).

...that I love Thursdays because that means Friday is just around the corner!

...that I continued to lay in bed ten minutes after my alarm went off this morning and then had to rush to get ready. Oops.

...that I can't think of much else to say today!

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK....

...that nap time for the babies I watch came early today. After they went to bed late and woke up early, they were tired (and I welcomed the break).

...that hubby accidentally threw away the box my headlights came in when I needed to mail the UPC off for a rebate. Sigh, we tried.

...that I wish today was Friday.

...that I found Money Ball to be slow and boring even though many people liked it.

...that newborn babies make me smile.

...that I could spend all day reading blogs. Also, that I may or may not feel like I know some of these people in real life (after reading their blogs for 3+ years!).

...that I have people I need to call, have not done so yet, and feel guilty about it.

...that I am really sad Desperate Housewives is ending.

...that my hubby would be really embarrassed I am posting these goofy pictures.

Today you can also find me linking up at:

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK....

...that we waited until Monday night (yes, the 2nd of January) to take our tree down.

...that all of our ornaments are laying on our dining table awaiting the return to their boxes. Sigh. Maybe they will pack themselves?

...that I am completely forgot my morning routine on Tuesday morning when I had to return to work after having 11 days off.

...to decide I was going to eat less/better starting yesterday, only to give in when hubby offered me a glass of wine last night

...to love couponing!

...to be excited about the post series I started yesterday that sums up the details of  our wedding planning adventure.

...that I am excited I discovered Caffee Mistos at Starbucks. Errr actually that my husband told me about them. Hello, Grande double pump toffee nut nonfat Caffe Misto :) Tastes just like a latte but I don't have to feel guilty..

...to be excited that the babies (that I nanny for) are currently sleeping. This break called nap time is welcomed with open arms around here.

Thanks for stopping by! If you are a new reader from Brunch with Amber, welcome! Please "follow" my blog   or leave a comment so I can check your blog out as well :)

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK....

...that my sink is piled high with dishes because I am too full & tired to clean them (my husband made an amazing birthday dinner for his momma tonight!)

...that I only sent Christmas cards to grandparents this year

...that I ran out of stamps for one of the Christmas cards and have not made it to the store to buy more. So this card is not going to make it by Christmas, and I decided that it's OK (life is busy!)

...that I was given all next week off work since my bosses are off too. Although I am nervous about not making money, I decided that break was much welcomed.

...that I am not as excited about my birthday (which is a week from today) this year because I feel old becoming 24.

...that I broke the lid to our coffee pot this morning because I was half-asleep and couldn't snap it on right. It was cheap anyway.

...that I made my husband a honey-do list today of things to complete while I was at work all day. What a good husband, he did them all and more!

...that most of my plans for next week consist of doing nothing.

...that I have been thinking I was finished with Christmas shopping but still have one more present to buy.

...that I didn't wait even five minutes after the babies woke up to give them their Christmas gifts today because I was too excited. They LOVED them! I gave all three girls a pair of these adorable Disney princess slippers:

Only 3 days 'till Christmas...!

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

...to wake up (extra) tired Thursday morning because of a fun date night to Zoolights the night before.

...to watch and wait for the mail man to arrive so I can explain that they stuffed my box and it wouldn't open.

...to wish today was Friday.

...to still have not sent out Christmas cards. Or purchased them yet. Oops! Better get on that...

...to have mixed feelings about my little (21 year old) brother getting accepted into the business school at my rival college. I'm proud. But, really?!

....to wake up ten minutes early for work and end up leaving five minutes late. Rare for me. I'm always early.

Head over here to learn more and linkup your own It's OK Thursday post.

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

I recently stumbled across an adorable blog called Brunch with Amber.

She holds a linkup on Thursdays called "It's Okay Thursday" which seemed fun, so I thought I'd join in!

It's OK...

...to be completely finished with your Christmas shopping when December rolls around.

....to "track" your new t.v. that is being shipped to you multiple times a day to figure out when it will arrive.

...to be a couple minutes late to work after turning around, driving back home, and running inside to make sure I turned the stove off.

...to become annoyed when your husband can't seem to keep track of his travel mugs and you just bought him a new one (which he already lost...).

...to feel guilty that I don't have to dress up for work and to realize that it is a big deal when I wear jeans to work. Perks of nannying, I guess.

...that I planned to start working out with the husband last week and still haven't yet.

...that my home was sparkling clean on Monday and now it is quite opposite of clean.

What's OK with you today?
